Wim Sonneveld was born in Utrecht in 1917. but lived most part of his life, from 1936 until 1971, in Amsterdam. In Amsterdam the theaters are located where he performed with his one-man shows as a stand-up comedian, o.a. in the "Leidsepeintheatre". In 1953 his nation-wide break through by a radio performance as 'Willem Parel', an Amsterdam streetorgan money collector.
Sonneveld died unexpectedly on March 8, 1974.
